YOUTH PROGRAMS Catawba Regional COG also seeks to provide assistance to youth in the region to help develop strong job skills and work ethic. Funds are channeled through contractors who provide a wide range of services, such as an academy for out-of-school youth, work toward a GED, increasing academic achievement and vocational readiness, development of occupational skills, and on the job work experience. Typical contractors for this program include local school districts, communities in schools programs, and anti-poverty agencies.
